Katie is a Level 2 teacher with Yoga Australia and a E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP® Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider® so courses with Katie can be used towards your CPD requirements.
1. Philosophy and Wisdom - Philosophy should be shared by those who have deep understanding of this wisdom. Having trained extensively in yoga philosophy and living her life using this ancient wisdom, Katie is available to run YTT on yoga history and philosophy.
We can offer complete yoga philosophy modules run by Katie to incorporate into your Yoga Teacher Training. This can cover yoga history and philosophy in general, Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita and the Chandi Path and Goddess traditions.
Katie has a particular focus on interpreting these ancient scriptures for today's world, and helping teachers understand how they can incorporate yoga philosophy into their teaching.
2. The Art of Rest by Katie Welsh - Restorative yoga, yoga nidra and meditation - a two part YTT to cover her great passion - restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditative breathwork and meditation.

I have practiced yoga with Katie for many years and her classes and teachings are amazing. Katie’s gentle restorative style is perfect for the workshops and classes she offers, and she has the amazing ability of being able to take you deep inside with both her voice and the variety within her practices. I’ve attended a number of Katie’s offerings (both online and in person) and through these I continue to gain a deeper understanding of the true nature of yoga – not just the physical practices . Katie’s knowledge and love of the yogic philosophies (foremost the Bhagavad Gita) and the ancient teachings of yoga is evident and she is always willing to share these teachings, weaving them beautifully into her workshops and classes. Before meeting Katie, yoga to me was more or less a physical practice, but with Katie’s guidance and teachings that has very much changed. She has inspired and guided me to delve deeper into ‘real yoga’, which has enabled me to practice and incorporate the deeper teachings of yoga within my own life and the classes I offer.
